That is a good point. However, to Master these principles it takes time and effort, so by breaking the lessons down, the reader is to do the exercises that will build on each other to help develop their mental abilities to focus, concentrate and use their imagination. If you were to just read it as a novel you will not master these principles and will most likely not benefit from the teachings.

The warning to not read this book like a novel could be attributed to the timing of when the course was introduced. Today the idea of meditation, visualization and positive thinking have become well accepted in many areas of the world. In 1912 when Charlse Haannel wrote The Master Key System, the information shared in it was far removed from the norm and most unheard of.

    thank you!!

  4. changeagent101 says:

Yes think of whatever comes to mind and relaxing music may help, just make sure to stay awake :) It is most important to sit as still as possible without fidgeting for this exercise.

  5. iluvtkandbk says:

when you said “let ur thoughts roam where they will,” does that mean i can think of want i want to achieve? will relaxing music help?

  6. LLALLENNESS says:

man this first excercise is super hard for me cuase like i start hearing my heart beat and it creeps me out so like i want to move so i don’t have to hear it. and so i try not to move and i hear it even more and then i could feel the four valves of my heart pumping blood to the rest of my body and all the viens in my arms it’s pretty crazy. I am a pretty anxious person by nature but this one is a toughy.

  7. changeagent101 says:

    I hope it helps!
    Best,

    Ryan

  8. mafrek says:

i see thank you ive already started to try and become aware of fidgeting and try to sit still wherever i am for as long as i can and will start the exercise fully some time soon. thanks for putting this up!

  9. changeagent101 says:

not a good idea while driving :) It is fine to start 5 min. As long as you are consistent and continue to strive to improve and increase your efforts. You will get out what you put into this. If you try it once in a while 5 min here, 5 min there and no consistency or growth you will not get much out of it. It’s like trying to get physically fit and only working out 5 min, if you only work out once in a while and don’t put much effort into it you will not experience much of a result.

  10. mafrek says:

haha i agree. but it says to just sit still and to not move at all but its ok to let your mind wander so i was wondering if i could watch a show while sitting still. but i guess thats not the same.

  11. changeagent101 says:

TV will be counter productive and take your attention and focus away from these exercises. The Master Key System is about learning how to use your mind. I hate to say it but tv is usually a waste of your mind. It can be entertaining but will not help you think and develop your mind to get focused on what you want out of life. TV is usually used for escapism so you don’t have to think or worry about life. I’m not saying all tv is bad, it is just too distracting when you start these exercises.

  12. mafrek says:

can i watch tv while i do this

  13. mafrek says:

sounds like something ill do while driving except when turning the wheel or pressing the pads lol can i do that? i guess not. can i start small like 5 mins the first day. itll take longer but at least i can do it.

  14. Bongz12345 says:

jus sit down and dont move, its just an exercise that helps you train your mind. mind over body, so once you can control your body with your mind (in this case sitting still) then you can move onto the next step

  15. mafrek says:

lol i dont think you can get a diagnosis here but i suggest some stretching or yoga

  16. changeagent101 says:

it basically means not to give in to your mental impulses to move. Things like fidgeting, nervous bouncing of the knee and not being able to sit still without moving.

  17. gensemman says:

what does “Full control of physical being” really means?

  18. lemorancan says:

I tried sitting on a pillow on the floor and keeping my back straight and this produces alot of pain in the middle of my back. Then I tried leaning against the wall with my back straight and it does not help. Does anyone know what is wrong with my back. It usually doesn’t hurt at all.

  19. gamesx12 says:

wait, what about your stomach, like when it bulges in/out from breathing[your deion].

  20. gamesx12 says:

anyone know, how much the actual book costs at barnes and noble, i only have the e-book version.

  21. ocinca says:

All you have to do is to stay still. That is it. When you control the body then you will progress to try to control your mind.

  22. jewsarebad says:

so the first weeks exercise is to sit still for 15 – 30 min? do you try to meditate or just sit still?

  23. nasri says:

Thank you very much. Really appreciate it. =)

  24. changeagent101 says:

There is no right or wrong when it comes to eyes open or closed. It only matters to the individual and what works best. Personally, it is easier for me to focus and concentrate with my eyes closed. It is easier for me to get distracted with my eyes open. It is best to be consistent so I recommend picking one way and sticking with it.
    Best,

    Ryan

  25. nasri says:

Hi i have a question. When i sit still, are my eyes supposed ta be open or closed? Or does it not matter?

  26. seolchil says:

@raspberrybaggio – how did you do it? Did ideas come to you? or were the right people attracted to you? Please explain your experience. Thanks!

  27. partnerorperish says:

WOW! With Gratitude I am consuming these. The hands and feet to the Secret. For me it has been the clarification of the missing link. Once again, thank you.

It is good to set aside some time and stay consistent with it. The challenge with visualizing before bed is it is easy to dose off to sleep. However, I think it is good to visualize before you go to sleep and try to experience in your mind what you want to achieve for the following day and feel the emotions and feelings it will bring as you accomplish this. The more real it is in your mind the better.

  29. thescwholesaler says:

do u visualize before u fall asleep or all the time??

  30. changeagent101 says:

thanks for the encouragement! it’s not always easy to stay focused and visualize what you want, it ‘s much easier to think of all the reasons you can’t do something. And yes it is well worth the effort of developing your mental abilities! Just keep at it and you will reap the rewards!

  31. raspberrybaggio says:

You can do it Koax3! I made an extra £10,000 once using creative visualisation. It wasn’t easy, but so worth it.

  32. koax3 says:

good job! I tried to study the master key system but I only studied the first 2 chapters… I wanna start over again
