   In August 2007 I began to put into practice the principles found in Doug Addison’s training seminar, Accelerating Into Your Life’s Purpose, which is based on the book, Personal Development God’s Way. Every time I take ANY step in this process, my life seems to go “whoosh!” and I truly find myself “acclerating into my life’s purpose.”

   My longest-held dream is to become a published writer, to help and encourage others through the dark and difficult issues of life (many of which I have personally experienced) and to live their lives with greater joy and satisfaction. Like most writers, I struggled with self-doubt, fear of failure AND fear of success, procrastination and many other purpose-killing thoughts and behaviors.

   Doug showed me how to create a MAP (pg. 242) for my life and to take positive actions toward accomplishing my dream in spite of the obstacles that I perceived to be in my way. I learned to Ask the Right Questions (pg. 109) and to put a positive SPIN on my life (Pg. 120). I now truly believe God’s Good Intentions (pg. 96) toward me. I now make choices and take actions that reflect my confidence in His love and goodness for my life.

   I started taking positive steps toward my dream, like writing blog articles and designing a writer’s Web site (currently under construction). I even took a chance and submitted a manuscript to a publisher. Less than three years after beginning this process of personal transformation, I signed my first publishing contract and have an invitation to write for that publisher again! Approaching my life God’s Way (pg. 45) made all the difference.

   Today I am living a Breakthrough Lifestyle (pg. 60)!

   Doug Addison’s “Personal Development God’s Way” is an important addition to his earlier books, study guides, and training courses. This is a manual or handbook providing guidelines for pursuing a purposeful life and helps the reader examine their own personal development, destiny, and passions.

   Doug talks about how to keep the past from negatively impacting the future. He provides hard hitting exercises which can bring about radical change,powerful transformation and empowerment in the life of the reader. Doug provides step by step instructions on moving into a break through lifestyle, a positive kingdom attitude, and a discovery of God’s love, acceptance, and power.

   “Personal Development God’s Way” is biblical in perspective, practical in application, and can be a life changing read.

   Doug Addison’s book will encourage believers to find purpose and overcome obsticals that hinder moving forward with God’s intent. This book gives many encouraging examples and ideas of how to change one’s currant circumstances by setting attainable goals God’s way.

   Great book about how God wants to bless each one of us and show us our destiny. Doug gives us tips and show us how to do our part as God does His. God will give us wisdom, but we have a part to fulfill also.

   Change is so difficult for most of us. Why is this so? So well stated in the forward of this book….”Some peoples’ lives and some church ministires are so well greased, programmed, and organized, that they come off plastic.” The author of this book is a (and I will name him) a super Christian pastor, teacher and leader who knows and follows the Holy Spirit in His life as he experiences the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.
   
   If you want to transform your life and your thinking this book on personal development provides a number of ‘break-through’ strategies and they are all backed with the Word of God. Are you in the ‘spin cycle’ as defined by this author…Stuck in the past..Procrastination…Internal negative thinking…No clear vision. If so, then read Chapter 6 Removing Obstacles.
   
   I suggest that you, yes you my christian Brother or Sister….think of personal development as part of God’s plan for your life. This excellent book is a guidebook for each of us to develop our lives God’s way.
